Dr Margo Hope

Dr Margo Hope

Dr Margo Hope was born and raised on her family’s farm in Far North Queensland. She was lured to the chilly temperatures of Hobart and completed her medical degree, graduating with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 2004. She did a Masters of Public Health & Tropical Medicine and then trained in Rural General Practice in Longreach in central Queensland, with advanced skills in Anaesthetics.

She was then lured to Midwest WA by a local farming lad to whom she is now married, with 3 children. She spent 16 years as a GP anaesthetist locuming in various locations in remote Queensland and Western Australia, including Carnarvon Hospital/ED for the last 10 years. Margo enjoys the full scope of general practice and providing ongoing care for individuals and families across all stages of life.

On her days off you will find Margo at home with hubby and the kids on their farm/sheep station, usually with a camera in tow and/or true crime podcast playing.

Margo works Tuesdays and Thursdays.
